While chatting before Elmer Pepper's funeral service Trent Westbrook again bent Nanci's ear about Amber Wallace.
During the service many people spoke of Elmer and his effect in their lives.
After the service Art Gamble advised Nanci to get a small pickup truck or sport utility which could handle the rough roads better than her Camry.
Nanci invited Gerald and Leah to dinner after school the next day.
