Summary
Jon and Tanisha are thrilled to be past the point of recall by Lambdatron. Noah is at the oars which can help qualify him as a real boatman. Noah and Scooter have known each other for six years, both running the Ocoee and Nanty. Jon realizes he remembers Noah from this trip on the Ocoee, complete with the knife fight. Noah is happy as a youth minister, prepared to wait for the Lord to call him elsewhere.
Randy is worried for Nicole and is prepared to hike out of the canyon with her, if necessary. Crystal has serious plans to make a qualified boatman of Randy, but it can't happen unless Nicole is happy.
Nanci awakens from her nap and finds the experience too unreal to believe. It's only seeing Badger Rapids immediately ahead of her that she knows she isn't dreaming. "One down," her mother grinned. "A hundred and sixty to go."
The rafts stop for a break after Badger before pushing a bit further. Nicole measures herself. She's made this one, but can she keep going? She isn't ready to give up yet.
