Summary
Linda has run out of cigarettes, and remembers that there is a vending machine in the high school break room, where she finds John Pacobel, and gives him the snake. He is unsure about what it actually might be, but tells her for now that Tiffany can call it a Northern Water snake. Mike is on the road, delivering papers, and ends up in Warsaw, where he meets Fred at the coffee shop. Fred tells him that Jerusalem Paper is planning a new addition with major new products and will be hiring a few additional people; Mike smells a story. Linda leaves the snake with John, who decides to give it to Danny & Josh to try and identify to keep them out of trouble. They suggest that although it is probably a Northern Water Snake, it could be a Gibson's Water Snake which are believed to be extinct.
John Pacobel decides to preserve the snake and get an expert to look at it. Mike helps Tiffany with her homework, and talk about the snake.
Tiffany asks Mike for a dog, which he dodges, but they talk about a TV program scheduled that night about sled dogs in Alaska. Little does he know but that TV program is going to make a major difference in his, Kirstens, Tiffany's and a lot of other lives.
