Summary
While thinking about getting Vixen started in birding, Jack remembered Mr. Buckland who had got him started.
When he got home his mother quizzed him about what had happened last night and early this morning. She started on at him about mowing the lawn when he said he was taking Vixen birding.
He tried phoning Vixen a few times but the line was always busy. He went round and Mrs. Hvalchek spoke to him before getting Vixen.
