Summary

Summer spent the morning reading the RPG book Alan had lent her, and thinking about him. She went round to his house when he phoned, and they worked on characters for the RPG for a while. Alan talked of a game he'd like to write and got on to talking about his grandmother and aunt being witches. He showed Summer his athame and she revealed more understanding than she'd said by the way she handled it.

Larry Coopshaw did most of the work fitting the new wheels onto Frenchy's car. They were glad he'd kept the receipt when the police chief said he was suspicious someone else's car was on blocks missing the wheels.

Frenchy's knee was bothering him a lot from Howie kicking it the day before.

Location confusion

The junkyard was described as being near Meeker in Chapter 17 and Chapter 26 but near Moffat in Chapter 28 and this chapter .
