Summary
The mood of the trip improved some over the next few days, although Scooter had Kevin offering a non-denominational prayer before dinner every day, mostly praying for the Osbornes and Noah. Noah met them at the end of the trip, and told them that they had driven almost non-stop for two days until they got to Connecticut, where the Osbornes insisted that he stay with them rather than find a motel. On the way back, he stopped at the Glen Hill Road First Baptist Church, where Pastor Jordan roped him into doing the Sunday sermon and meeting with the youth group that evening. Mark talked to him about their speakers bureau, and Noah told him that he would think about it and let him know.
The next day, when they went into the office to pick up their checks, Al was on the phone with Mark Jordan, who talked to Noah about the idea of doing a speaker's tour around several churches, to make the point that it's possible to live a Christian life and still do exciting things.
Noah told him that he had to run it past Crystal, but when it comes to talking about dates, Al mentions that he wants to get to some of the big outdoors shows, and the possibility of meshing the church tour schedule with the show schedules looks interesting. They start planning a slide show and maybe working in some of Myleigh's music. In the midst of that, the phone rings again, and it's Randy, telling them that he won't be able to make the fall trip he had been hoping for.
