Lu Ty was a tall twentyish girl with curly red hair and not much of a shapeCCT18 from OxfordCCT33. She has a college degree in information systems but can't find work in the field so works in an office in Oxford.CCT20
Her ability ensured her a secondary part in The Odd Couple even though she didn't physically match the character,CCT18 and a role in The Back Table. CCT32
When Brett asks whether Lu Ty is her real name she explains:
- “It is now. My family name is Turlukowsky, and my folks hung the name of Ludmilla on me. Nobody ever got it right, and I hated it. At least the kids in school learned to call me Lu. The first thing I did when I turned twenty-one was to apply for a legal name change. I figured that Lu Ty sounded better than Lu Tu.” CCT20
When Meredith VanArnhem announced that she would not be available for Barefoot in the Park, Lu was offered the role of Mrs Banks which released Kellye Ginther to play Corie
During the rehearsals of The Odd Couple she started getting friendly with David Harbaugh and it looked like it might develop into a serious romance.CCT33
