Summary
After a very successful visit, Emily and Vicky climb back on their bikes for the ride home. They can't talk while riding, so Vicky uses the time for introspection. The day has been the most fun she's had in years without having Jason beside her. She compares herself and her lengthy friendship with Emily to the speed with which the Tylers and Heisler went from not knowing the other lives just a few miles away to best of friends.
Vicky arrives at the point where she is recognizing how close she's become to Jason and wants more, but family is still important to her and Jason has already raised one child to adulthood. Should she push for more?
The pair stop at a rest area and conversation soon turns to Vicky and Jason. Emily asks openly if Vicky is going to do something. Vicky admits she wants to, but doesn't want to change what she has. Emily warns, "Things don't stay the same." Vicky is quiet for a long time after that.
