Summary
Vicky and Jason talk on the drive back from the party. Vicky spends most of it giving details to Jason he's never known about her time in college. She explains her disappointment that college wasn't a simple extension of High School and her jealousy over Dayna's popularity. We learn about her roommate, Melissa, and the tension between them. Vicky explains her summer hookup with John Engler and subsequent loss of him to his old girlfriend, Mandy Paxton. We hear a more complete view of the post Bondage-Challenge orgy and the tragedy of Melissa's death. We also learn for the first time how Vicky ended up with Augie Pabst.
Jason reassures Vicky that she's not to be blamed for Melissa's death and reminded her "You're not the only person who made a dumb decision [...] Hell, you're not the only person in this truck that's done it, and I don't need to tell you the story, because you've known it most of your life." Vicky agrees, "That's why I know I can tell you."
