Summary

During the autumn Sarah had long, intense phone calls with Kevin Haynes when he was off the river. Once the rafting season ended the calls were shorter but more frequent - up to 2 or 3 times a day.

Sarah was concerned because she hadn't been able to contact Kevin for 3 days.

While Sarah and Nanci were studying together Kevin turned up and told them that Abraham Bowman had been released early. While they were talking Bowman interrupted and again claimed Sarah. Kevin and Nanci managed to put him down and Kevin then proposed to Sarah, who immediately accepted.

Warren Daugherty and Norm Lewis arrived for a study session. Warren kept an eye on Bowman while Norm called the sheriff.
