Summary
White Team had to be in court to testify against Abraham Bowman at the time loading and rigging for the second Christian trip was due so Al put together a scratch team to get the trip started and a crew change was made at Cathedral Wash.
Even though Abe Bowman's sentence meant he shouldn't be able to disturb Sarah during the next semester at Hickory Run she took the whole of the trip to decide to return with Nanci because she had also been getting closer to Kevin Haynes and wasn't sure what to do about that.
At Diamond Creek Wash Nanci was lost in thought while the rest of the team loaded up, thinking that this was not only her last trip of the season but probably her last trip as a boatman because she hoped to be pastoring a church next summer.
Back in Flagstaff they finished unloading sooner than usual and headed to the Burro so Nanci and Sarah could have the beers they lost in the bet about Brett. It turned out that Brett knew about the bet and led them on. Nanci's "last act as a Canyon Tours boatman was to give another boatman a beer shower."
