Martha Lackamp was the wife of Harold Lackamp and mother to Sarah Lackamp.
Martha and Harold were missionaries to Rwanda, Africa who returned to USA on 1994 when Sarah was 11. In December 2005 they get opportunity to return to Rwnada to explore the possibility of returning to their mission and leave Sarah feeling abandoned.
In December 2005 Harold and Martha get opportunity for an exploratory trip to Rwanda to see about re-opening their mission.HR5 They subsequently return in March 2006 to start again in a new location.HR11
Wanting to push Sarah to be more independent of her parents they suggest she think about marrying their friend Abraham Bowman despite knowing she dislikes the man.HR2 They hoped this would make her develop the backbone to live without them when they returned to Rwanda.HR24
