Summary

Phil Gravengood had spent time servicing his airplane and modifying his radio to the frequencies in use at Chicago Midway airport. He flew down early to collect the representative of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis with Salk vaccine. Garth Matson helped Phil with the early take off and was there to bring the men and the vaccine into town.

Donna Clark had the high school set up for the mass inoculations. Dr. Brege screened people and sent a few to the hospital for further investigation while four peole gave the inoculations. Donna then gave them cards as reminders that further doses were needed.

Garth dressed in clean clothes, borrowed Ursula Clark's car and drove to West Turtle Lake Club to collect Helga and their children to be inoculated. He had an argument with Helga over it but was adamant the kids be inoculated. Helga reluctantly submitted.
