Summary
Adam spent a relaxing holiday chatting with the regulars at the Channel Stop and working Jake on boats in Nate Kunkle's boat shed.
He had a good conversation with Amanda Lewis, hearing about her time on the European canals with Matt and Mary. He realised she could do well if she went to college, though she made it plain her plans included fishing boats not college.
He also heard Jake's version of his history with Brittany, which was quite different than her version.
Adam spoke to Marcia, his secretary, a couple of times and heard of the trouble Brittany had caused at Caldwell-Deerfield when she couldn't get hold of him.
At Christmas Mary phoned and Adam told her about the divorce and Brittany's reaction to learning of Matty's existence.
Adam returned to Detroit after Christmas to pick up end of year tasks at Caldwell-Deerfield.
