Summary
On the last full day in the Canyon, Myleigh talks with Crystal and Trey about her musical experiences with the Canyon talking to her. She wants another run, this time with Blue Beauty and some good recording equipment. With some brainstorming, a plan is made. This discussion is repeated in Chapter 21 of Blue Beauty. Part of the planning has Crystal worrying about boatman numbers and Al has her talk to Noah.
Noah has been contemplative and is ready to talk with Crystal, but "There's still a question to be answered." Noah understands the Lord isn't calling him to a church and he's ready to leave Glen Hill and asks her if they can try to be something more than just friends. Crystal admits "Most of the way down this river I've been trying to figure out a way to put pretty much the same question to you." Noah will return to join Crystal's team with her helping him pack up and prepare.
After a big steak dinner and another enjoyable evening, three are left at the final campfire. Nanci asks if she can continue as a trainee swamper. Al says no, she's to be paid and even paid for this trip. She'll be expected to work hard again, and to keep her big conversion quiet with customers. Al and Karin surprise her by revealing that they've had something similar.
The final day and wrap up is very subdued as the trip ends. All are leaving, wanting to do it again and all are changed by the experience.
