Summary
Jake discovers Annette is an aspiring writer. She spends the next night with him, then he gets a night off.
Barbara suggests Jake help Nate on a fishing charter and once beyond the breakwater Nate has Jake take the helm on the flying bridge, whilst he coaches the inexperienced fishermen.
They land a few fish whilst Jake learns the job of helmsman on a charter fishing boat.
At the end of a successful day Nate drops Jake back at the Channel Stop dock with a lake trout for Debby, already gutted, filleted and on ice.
