Sam Trott is a stockholder and co-founder of Lambdatron and apparently able to work as an engineer a bit more than Stan Warshawski. Sam explained once, "Stan's title is actually 'Senior Shareholder,' but we often call him the president because senior shareholder sounds like something else to anyone outside the company. I am a vice senior shareholder, which is an even more meaningless term."^MC8

Sam is married to Maureen and they are raising two children. In 1990 they've been married for ten years and their son John is nine while adopted daughter Raylene is seven. They live in Phoenix and both work for Lambdatron in Tempe.^MC7

Jennlynn Swift described him as "a mid-thirtyish man [...] only about a "C" for general good looks." Actually, her full report was "He rated a solid "A" for technique and about an "A-" for endurance; easily an "A+" for intensity, although only about a "C" for general good looks, which Jennlynn wasn't particularly concerned about anyway. It was, in short, probably the most intense and enjoyable party she'd ever had."^MC6 Sam has a strong sex drive while his wife has less than none. They maintain their committed marriage with a trip every other month to a Nevada brothel where Maureen will choose a girl for her husband and he never repeats business with the same girl twice. It was such an occasion that introduced the pair to Jennlynn working as "Rebecca" at Bettye's Ranch.

Sam was part of the intern interviewing committee that hires Jennlynn and Jim Geletzke into Lambdatron in 1990.^MC8

Although his last name wasn't given, he apparently makes two appearances in Alone Together as a Lambdatron engineer named Sam when Jon Chladek and Tanisha Blythe are working there. He makes joking references towards Jennlynn not providing discounts.^AT8
