Summary
At the season wrap party, Al asks Crystal to join him and Karin, and tells everyone he has a special announcement to make. He then asks Karin if she will marry him; she accepts. She then tells everyone that Crystal is really Al's daughter. Al then goes on to discuss the plans for the wedding, which will be at Baseball Man. In order that everyone can be there, it will involve some fancy scheduling and a double burn-around for Scooter.
Scooter, Michelle, and Crystal get together and discuss their winter plans, which includes surfing, sailing and skiing.
Karin, Al, Scooter, and Crystal head to Phoenix for Thanksgiving with Jon and Tanisha and then watch them run in the Sun marathon.
Crystal tells Scooter that she's going to change her last name to Buck. She adds "I have never once, not ever, had someone spell Chladek just from hearing it. People damn well better be able to spell 'Buck'."
Real World Note
The Sun Marathon, correctly called the "Valley of the Sun Marathon", is a real race that is usually held in both March and November in the Phoenix area. The race is both a half (13.1 miles / 21 km) and a full (26.2 / 42 km) marathon, using the same start & finish lines and run along a rectangular shaped route on area streets. The half marathon uses a crossover street midway in the route.
