The excavating supervisor at Clark Construction was named as Jerry Evernham in Hannegan's Cove Chapter 3 and as Ray Evernham in Hannegan's Cove Chapter 23.
References to Ray in relation to the equipment in Hannegan's Cove Chapter 15, as well as Winter Layoff Chapters 1, 2, 7 and 17 suggest that Wes Boyd's brain fade (his words) was using the name Jerry initially.
He was married and had a kid with health problems. He had taken his wife and kid to the hospital in Camden, so wasn't available to relieve Randy Clark driving the John Deere road grader at the Birdwatcher Hill Fire.BHF10
