Summary
Amanda realised that by rescuing the kitten she'd adopted a boat cat and would be less lonely in future. She named the kitten Beffy, after one of her favorite childhood dolls.
A quick shopping trip for the minimal pet supplies she needed and a drive-through breakfast started her day. She worked in the cockpit removing fittings between time petting Beffy. Cordy showed up and was introduced to Beffy before going off to her work for the day.
The next day over breakfast at Earlene’s Cordy told her to take time off from the restoration so she didn't get sick of it. Amanda told her that Beffy had helped with that yesterday. As Amanda got to a stage where she could really use a second pair of hands, Zack showed up offering to help as he had a day off. While Zack petted Beffy before getting to work Amanda quizzed him a little on how he chose the Coastguard.
