They found a white girl who sang the blues with a lot of soul, and thought that it was a shame the audience was so small as she was nearly professional quality.^AT2

Jennifer and Blake Walworth expected Nola Johnson to record a blues album and didn't want to use the studio in their basement. Jennifer said of her "She has the most soulful, smoky basement blues bar voice you’ve ever heard."^SQ47
