Summary
On the crew bus back to Flagstaff Duane and Michelle talked about getting a house, where she'd work, whether he'd continue with Canyon Tors next season. She said her parents were encouraging her to take more of a role in the gift shop with a view to eventually taking it over.
That trip was the last before the students would be returning to their colleges, breaking up what had been a good settled team. When Al was asking whether either of the guys going back to college could delay a week and neither of them could Erika piped up and said she could swing the rest of the season if she was a boatman instead of swamper.
Al agreed to Erika running a gear boat and with Karin along they had the right number of boatmen for the next trip, without a swamper.
The following trip Jerry Palmer replaced Karin as boatman. A good uneventful trip.
