Summary
The first day on the river followed the usual pattern of luncah after Paria Riffle and stopping for the night below Badger Rapids.
Nanci told Sarah one of the duties of the junior swamper is to dump and clean the rocket boxes after the trip. Sarah admitted it is perhaps as well that she hadn't been told earlier and says “But then, considering that the alternative is Abraham Bowman, I guess I don’t mind that much.”
