Summary
On a hot summer day after work, Scott stops at the Spee-D-Mart and chats with a couple old classmates. Emily is pregnant with her first child. Vicky hints at getting together, but Scott talks about his girlfriend from college.
When Scott gets home, his Mom reports that Sonja has called, sounding upset. Scott returns the call and finds out Sonja needs to hide from her mother. Scott confirms with his Mom that she can visit and gives her directions to Bradford.
Scott meets her at the Chicago Inn with a hug and reassurance. Sonja had rushed without packing clothes, but Scott offers something of his older sister's.
