Summary

Roger and Catalina soon return to work, side-by-side with the Amish. "The next six weeks were busy. The crew continued work at their usual pace, six days on and one off, completing three or four houses a week."

In the evenings, Roger and Catalina could talk and plan, including things they'd like in a new motor home. They heatedly disagreed over the kind of small car they might tow, Roger preferring a Ford and something American made, but nothing was resolved.

Toward the end of March, the Amish made preparations for returning north. They invite the couple to rejoin them in November when they expect to return. All departed on the same day, but Roger and Catalina headed to Wamputa Beach.

While still cool in the mornings, Catalina was ready to show off her tattoo. The large number of strangers at the campground gave Roger trouble in adjusting. Roger and Bill worked on small projects in the mornings before they joined Catalina and Bonnie a swim on the shore. When the weather was poor, Roger retreated to reading in the camper. Belatedly checking e-mail, Roger discovers Ralph demanding a phone call.

They learn during the ensuing phone call that the auction is set for 2:00 in the morning and is not well publicized, in fact the minimum legal advertising. They discuss options with the lawyer, but little can be done before they return in a couple days. Still, "We're going to beat this joker at his own game yet."
