Judge Langley was a Probate Court judge in Hawthorne that presided over the Homer Smith estate dispute between Catalina Smith and Delmer Smith.
Ralph Gerjevic said "I don't know this Judge Langley very well, and I've only had a couple cases in front of him over the years. From what I recall he seems reasonably fair."HS16
While he was quick and fair in the courtroom, those opinions were tested when the judge approved an auction scheduled for 2:00 am with only a notice in a small weekly. Ralph Gerjevic said "If I had to guess, I would say his decision came from a couple of local buddies deciding to put the shaft to an outside attorney."CAT18
