Summary
Crystal and Noah continue their discussion, this time with Crystal giving Noah a chance to mention his own troubles. He is still single and it's about time for him to move on from being a youth minister to a church of his own, which would be awkward if he wasn't married. He's looking for a woman that doesn't see him as a minister first and man second. We learn Crystal has been celibate for four years. She, Michelle and Scooter have talked about the difficulties of finding a man that won't take them from the Canyon. Crystal is aware of Scooter's pursuit of Jim with GCR. Crystal and Noah chat about Nanci and the temptation to return to her old ways and a need for her to overcome that temptation.
When Crystal finally returns to camp, she isn't needed to help with dinner. She finds Randy fishing. He reveals a secret stash of tranquilizers as another option for Nicole. The pair discuss upcoming hiking options, too.
At the evening campfire, since it's Sunday, Scooter asks Noah to say a few words. His speech about Vision Quests, comparing Jesus's time in the wilderness to their own, leads to the sentence: "The sound of thinking was heavy around the campfire" which is a fun yet apt description of many quiet spells.
