Summary
Matt and Mary spent a couple of days at Winchester Harbor before returning to Detroit to speak to a couple of lawyers before they returned to the Mary Sue in Nassau. Three weeks around the Bahamas was followed by a five day trip to Beaufort, North Carolina where they got married. They continued sailing north and were in Long Island Sound when Matt admitted feeling a bit unwell. He said he didn't think it was the leukemia returning and suggested they get through the Cape Cod Canal before finding a hospital.
They pulled into a marina in Plymouth where they got a slip. Mary called an ambulance to take Matt to a hospital where leukemia was confirmed and they transferred him to a hospital in Boston better able to treat him. While waiting in Boston Mary phoned Adam and Jake with the news, both said they'd come and Adam said he'd have to bring Brittany.
When Brittany saw Matt she wanted him moved to University Hospital in Ann Arbor where he'd been treated before. Dr Sumitono advised against and said the decision was Mary's as Matt's wife. Eventually Dr Sumitono gave Brittany a sedative because she was disturbing everyone around.
Adam and Jake used the opportunity to offer Matt a chance to sign a will leaving everything to Mary, which he did. Then Matt asked them “Please, get me out of here. I don’t want to die in a damn hospital.”
