Summary
Lori remembers how Judith had been a year ahead of her in high school until the accident that almost crippled her. Now Judith is on crutches and Lori (carrying Judith's tray) and Judith sit down with Alison Blevens and Candy Howard.
Alison is excited that Phil Wine has asked her to the prom. Lori thought to herself that if the only person who asked her was Bob Watson she would rather stay home. Judith says she knows she's not going to the prom, and goes on "I can't think of anything that would be nicer than for someone to ask me to go ... just a nice guy, like maybe Ken over there.... But who'd ask a cripple like me?"
In the meantime, Ken is pondering about the prom, thinking that while renting a tux and everything was a bother, he might go if Lori would go with him. Lori calls him, but persuades him that he should take Judith. He, in turn, suggests that Lori should go with Bob.
