Summary
January 9th 5:10 AM to 8:23 AM.
Marshall finds that the roof has caught fire from burning material blown by the wind. The fire fighters find it difficult to get water onto the new fire, while Marshall ensures the building is evacuated. A further problem is that they are limited by how much water the hydrants can supply. The other side of the plant also catches, so they try and get as many firecrew on the plant as possible, as otherwise many of the men will be unemployed. Rod Turpin falls prey to a contaminated air-set. Meanwhile Jim Horton is checking the water pumps, and finds one of the bearings running hot. The train from Spearfish Lake comes in with some more fire crew, that Linder desperately need, and then quickly returns towards Spearfish Lake with injured men. On the way the engine starts to give trouble.
