Bruce Marshall was the plant supervisor at the Jerusalem Paper Plant in Warsaw in 1981 when it caught fire.

Bruce had been fighting the front office of Jerusalem Paper Products to keep the plant in Warsaw open, despite its age. He believed the fire could close the plant, a major employer in Warsaw. He worried the fire might have been arson^SX5 perhaps even from the main office^SX7

Bruce worked hard during the fire to move dangerous chemicals out of the plant before the fire got to them, but as the fire continued, he was one of the first to lose hope of saving anything.

Bruce spoke at the opening of the rebuilt plant, a year and a half after the fire.^SX24
