Characters
Summary
Dave drives to New York, to meet with his managers at Dunlap and Fyre and his author, Larissa. Mostly, however he goes to meet with Shae; he increasingly thinks that his job is not a long-term career. He is ready to talk of marriage when Shae's symptoms forcefully remind of him of Julie's two pregnancies. A quick home test confirms that Shae is pregnant, and Dave proposes to Shae, and she accepts. They talk about timing.
With the new child coming Shae expects that her days at Avalon are numbered, and they also discuss what she could be doing in Bradford. Dave suggests recording her child's storytelling on DVDs, and marketing them via an Internet web site.
