Summary
Dave bids Shae a regretful good-bye and leaves for Bradford. On the way, he thinks about his relationship with Shae. He's considering a possible marriage, and where they would live, New York or Bradford. Dave has some uncertainty whether they would run into problems, but on the other hand, he's pretty happy with the way things are going. He thinks they will need to keep the intimacy down in Bradford. He considers that a year from Julie's death would be an appropriate time before making public announcements.
In Bradford, he talks to Emily, and then by telephone to Eve, about a possible get-together around Christmas, with Emily hosting Shae, Dave and the McClellans.
