Summary
When Frenchy got home his father started straight in needling him.
The bread and bologna which was supposed to be his lunches for the week ran out on Wednesday. He bought himself some bread and peanut butter which he decided to keep in his room.
Friday afternoon Frenchy drove the tractor from the work site back to Sven's place because they'd be working the other side of town next week. While the rest of the crew were delivering firewood Sven took Frnechy to the bank to open an account with his paycheck, then to a thrift store for some coveralls.
As soon as Frenchy got home his father demanded the fifty dollars rent, and then demanded the rest of his pay. Frenchy hid his money while he took a shower and found the little he'd left in his wallet had been stolen when he got back to his room.
