Summary
Jennlynn flies Will Hoffman in Songbird to the Bar H Bar for Christmas with the Hoffman family. The pair return to the canyon they'd enjoyed the first time they rode the fences. Will has built a small cabin and ensured there's a good landing strip to allow Jennlynn to fly directly to this corner of the ranch.
Will explains how he's saved his Air Force pay to purchase parts of the ranch and in particular has taken the northern quarter of the ranch. Will has made contingency plans to have it developed.
We learn quite a bit about what Will has been up to as he worked for the Air Force, including just about finishing a college degree. Will had always hoped to complete 20 years and retire, but he has never enjoyed his tours much and has prepared alternate plans just in case.
As much as the cabin will be a home for Will, he offers it to Jennlynn to be their home, together.
They know money is an issue between them, as is the small amount of time they can share, but it looks like the pair have reached a new understanding in their love.
