Summary
With a posting to Luke Air Force Base, Will was more likely to re-enlist.. He said the commute from Jennifer's condo would be OK for a couple of months but asked Jennifer to look for something which would split the commute more evenly for both of them. Jennifer said she would get Stan Warshawski's wife, who dabbles in investing in real estate a little, to help her.
Labor Day weekend Jennifer ferried Will from Biloxi to Phoenix in Skyhook so she could show him a possible property. It was pretty far out from the city. The property was a horse ranch with large ranch house, barn and a second, fairly large, bunkhouse. There was an area which, with a little work, would make a good runway for Magic Carpet. Jennifer suggested Will should investigate whether he'd be allowed to fly in to work at Luke Air Force Base. The bunkhouse would provide the refuge the Hearts of Gold organization wanted.
Will surprised Jennifer when he admitted he hadn't been very happy about the prospect of moving to the Bar H Bar next spring if he didn't re-enlist. It was his parents' home, and they weren't ready to retire, but it wouldn't support two families. Jennifer admitted she hadn't really wanted to make that move either. They agree they're going to have to be more honest with each other.
