Summary
John and the boys meet Candice and Tiffany off the plane as they get back from running a Spearfish Lake Outfitter's whale watching kayak in Quebec, Canada. The trip seems to have been a success from the customers point of view, although probably marginal financially.
John is finding life in Spearfish Lake isn't quite what he expected, and is a little grumpy about it, although overall he's much happier than he was in Decatur.
John goes for breakfast at the Cafe. Harold is chatting to Joe about the problems with basketball and that they need a new coach. John brings him up to date on Brandy and suggests that he talk to her.
Harold goes around straight after breakfast, tells Brandy about how Lisa deLine managed to get basketball and cheerleading cancelled for the last two years, and how desperate the situation is. Brandy immediately volunteers to give it a go, much to Harold's relief.
Harold then mentions that he now has to look for a new teacher for Maths, Physics, and Science, ideally Geology.
Brandy replies Guess who’s just a dissertation shy of a doctorate in Geology? And who had a double minor in math and secondary education?
