Summary
Randy is OK in the gearboat by himself most of the time, but there are four rapids that Al & Crystal decide he needs to be accompanied on: Al takes him through Horn Creek, Dan drew Granite, Scooter does Hermit, then Crystal does Crystal.
Because of the accident with Jerry they are off schedule. Crystal asks Al's advice on where to stay for the night. He guides them to a place Crystal doesn't know but Karin does from the first time she ran. Most people elect to go on a hike up the canyon, but Crystal, Karin & Al stay behind. Karin tries talking to Crystal again, and Crystal reveals how upset she is about how things have turned between her and Randy.
Crystal makes a comment about how Al has been like a father to her, and Karin decides to take Crystal and Al on a short hike to the water pocket she and Al went to on her first trip. Crystal is mystified at first then realises it's a trip down memory lane. At the water pocket Karin reveals that Crystal is really Al's daughter, not Pete's.
