Summary
Randy wakes up to the smell of breakfast, gets up, and exchanges jokes about Myleigh's snoring with Scooter.
Randy rows a lot, though Crystal runs House Rock. Randy gets a chance to chat with Karin, he tells her about Nicole, and that although he hasn't asked her to marry him yet, since they're discussing furniture for a house together he isn't that worried about the answer.
Karin and Randy talk about Crystal and Pete, how Karin thinks that the two trips on the Colorado will be the brackets round her life with Pete.
Randy talks about the public Crystal and the private Crystal, and how he much prefers the public Crystal. Karin does too.
The trip continues, until one of the boatmen, Jerry, tries freeclimbing during a hike up a side canyon and falls. Randy rushes to the scene and takes over, surprising Crystal with the news that he is a certified EMT. Another customer turns out to be a retired Emergency Room nurse. Together they decide that there's not much they can do, except to get a medical evacuation helicopter to airlift Jerry out from the nearest point - Phantom Ranch. They quick-pack all of the camping equipment and do a speed-run to Phantom. Randy has to row Jerry's raft for him.
Once the medevac helicopter has left to the nearest hospital, Canyon Tours is left with a problem, as the only substitute boatman they've got is Randy, and the insurance rules says he can't carry passengers. They redistribute the raft loads to create a gear boat, assign it to Randy and put everyone else in the other rafts.
