Summary

Roger talks to Max and finds out news of the auction is spreading by word-of-mouth at least. Rumor also explains Delmer was probably hoping to use funds from a quick sale to pay off a loan.

When Larry learns that Roger wants to sell his motor home, he passes the news on to a buyer he knows. Roger ends up selling it for $1000 more than he paid. They were sad to see it leave.

Wychbold is very quiet as the couple leave for the 2:00 am auction. There was a crowd of a couple dozen or more, which they found encouraging. They sat in Ralph's SUV, hopefully out of Delmer's sight, while waiting for the start. As expected, Delmer bids, increasingly bitter over the increasing price. When things slow down at $400,000, Roger adds his voice. Soon another new voice starts bidding and Roger can return to silence. The bidding stops at $725,000. The winner bidder turns out to be a middle-aged Amish man, their friend Michael!

Delmer continues to be bitter despite the extra money he'll be getting from his share. Catalina won't sign anything under the lawyers review it.

The Amish explain how they took the news of the property first learned from Catalina and followed by the extra advertising. Michael runs a logging team that will help realize some profit from the woods to help pay for the new farm.
