Characters
Summary
Mike & Josh leave the Warsaw fire station at dawn to a good send off. They have a good run, and meet Kirsten at the road crossing for a rest stop. Before they get to Spearfish Lake Mike gets too ill to race, eventually falling off the sled. Josh has to double the teams and head for Mike's home.
Jackie, Kirsten & Tiffany are looking after Mark, warming him up in the hot tub when Josh arrives with a very sick Mike in the sled basket. They help get Mike out of the sled and into the hot tub as well.
Tiffany takes a couple of minutes to persuade the adults to let her finish the race substituting for Mike. They re-rig the dogs back into two teams and set out for the finish line.
Kirsten takes the videocamera down to the finish to record the end of the race to show Mike and Mark later.
Ryan Clark announces the substitutions on the speaker system, and warns everyone that they are nearing the finish line. They race hard for the final stretch, and finish almost side by side.
