Summary

Over the winter Mel learned that kids were looking for the fastest legal car for the Junior Stocks next year. He planned to introduce restrictor plates if needed and made them using carburettor gaskets as templates.

There were far more cars for the Junior Stock class the first day of racing than Smoky Kern had ever had. The racing was mostly good for the novice class and it looked like trouble was brewing for the final A-Main race.
