Summary

As expected Bert Mansfield wasn't out to race in the A-Main, he was out to get Phil Sharp. It didn't work in Bert's favor because Phil was ready for him.

A couple of weeks later Mel introduced the restrictor plates and had Glenn Mansfiled in his face over them. The racing showed who was a good driver.

Glenn invested in the track so he could get it back to ignoring the rules and Bert could win. Mel and Arlene walked out of the track before racing started the day they were told.

When Bert finished High School and went to Vietnam Glenn lost interest in the track and it closed mid-season in 1965.
