Arlene Riley is the wife of Bill Riley and mother of Tom, Sue and after a ten year gap, her youngest Denis Riley.GM4 She is two years younger than her husband and 37 years older than Denis.
Arlene and her husband, after getting over the initial shock, were both quite supportive, both financially and emotionally, of Denis' decision that he was a girl trapped in a boy's body, and was going to go through the process of sexual reassignment surgery, even going to St Priscillasville Vermont when the surgery was scheduled.
In March 1988, when Bill was transferred to Denver, Arlene stayed in Bradford until Denis graduated from High School before following him. The couple continued to live in Denver after Bill retired, although by August 1998 they had just recently moved away (new location not specified).
