Zack Gorsline was a Bradford, Michigan resident who had raced in the Junior Stock class at Bradford Speedway before switching to a Sportsman which he raced at various other tracks.
Zack had married Diane Ziegler, and she got him involved when Mel Austin bought Bradford Speedway and intended to re-open it. Zack put the word out about help needed to get the track ready and took control of building a new concession stand.BR2-23
On opening day Zack volunteered to handle the flags.BR2-25
Zack and Diane were the first people Mel and Arlene Austin told when they sold the track to General Hardware Retailers. Mel led the group to look over his land to plan a temporary track for the rest of the season and identified a good location for a permanent paved track.BR2-25
Zack masterminded moving the concession stand and the scoring and announcers tower from the old track to the new one.BR2-26
Zack suggested Mel should keep the temporary track, resulting in it being renamed the Little Track.BR2-27
