Summary
Susan ended her visit with Mizuki in Detroit with some regret. She decided to detour to Southern Michigan University in Hawthorne and maybe Notre Dame in South Bend, looking for a job, on her way home to Spearfish Lake.
Her first call at SMU was to Beverly Hartley, the placement counselor. Beverly told her of a recent discussion about a concept for a job coordinating international studies - both into and from SMU. Beverly send Susan to get a coffee or something to give her time to plant a couple bugs in some ears and run it past a few people.
