Teresa Hanson was the daughter of Sally Hanson, a member of the Bradford '88s. She was a teenager in 2003 when a car driven by her mother crashed due to a load falling off a truck in front of them; both her legs were broken.LP1 The car was totaled, she was in a wheel chair while her legs healed, she and her mother Sally Hanson lived with John Engler.

Once she had the casts off her legs she told John Engler he'd been a pretty good dad so far and pushed her mother to get together with him. They were happy as a family and attended the Class of 1988 twenty year reunion together.LP27
