Spearfish County Sportsman’s Club

Spearfish County Sportsman’s Club was a couple of miles outside Spearfish Lake town.

There was a cramped and ramshackle^SK27 indoor shooting range which was long and narrow and not well heated.^SK1

It was called Spearfish Lake Sportsman’s Club in Reaching for Wings Chapter 24.

There was also an outdoor range used in the summer months.^SK21

Gil Evachevski taught Cody Archer to shoot at the Sportsman’s Club, and Cody regularly out-shot the local police when they did their qualification shooting.^SK1

Gil Evachevski also taught Bree Gravengood to shoot rifles and pistols here, to help her prepare for the Air Force Academy.^RFW24
