Summary
Hjalmer takes Jackie out to a movie, and then up to Turtle Hill, only to run into the local astronomy club who are looking for Messier objects. Though Hjalmer wants to go elsewhere, Jackie stays and gets into a discussion about Charles Messier, and sees a number of them through the telescope.
When she arrives at home Jackie has a brief chat about her date with her step-mother Sarah before going to bed.
The next morning as a waitress at Rick's Cafe, Jackie chats to Lori (another waitress) and realizes the astronomy club group she saw the previous night are coming in for breakfast.
Jackie finds out that the person showing her the sky was Mark Gravengood, and they agree to meet later that night so that she can see more.
