Summary
Crystal and Scooter take their time getting back to Flagstaff, and return Rachel's minivan; fortunately Michelle's grandmother was on her way to recovery. They eventually end up at the Canyon Tours office talking with Karin and Al; first telling them about their trip (a somewhat expurgated report) and then getting down to business. Al asks "These two kids, Duane and Carl ... are they really going to be any good?" and seems to be satisfied with the positive answers he gets from Scooter and Crystal. They discuss crew makeup for the upcoming season, and Crystal suggests that she and Scooter alternate as trip leader to help Scooter get up to speed on the job.
Al and Karin return to Florida for more surfing; when they return, Al announces the starting crew arrangements, noting that, as usual, there may be some changes as the season goes along. Karin will be doing the office during the first trip, and will have to be in Chicago the following week, but will be getting some time in the Canyon somehow after that.
